ABOUT The Johnson’s

Audrey Johnson was one of the first woman from Minnesota admitted to the Harvard-Radcliffe Program in Business for Women. She later graduated with an Industrial Relations Masters of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota. Audrey’s career path led her into human resources management. She took over the management of Johnson Companies in 1999.
Audrey is well-known for providing opportunities for women, mentoring and assisting in college and career planning, as well as business start-up. Among her many accomplishments are: named outstanding alumna of Lakeville High, New Market Bank board of director’s member, Twin Cities Personnel Association leadership position, U of M Industrial Relations alumni board member, and human resources teacher for Minnesota State University. She was also selected by Harvard to provide an oral history of her accomplishments – this is available at Harvard’s Schlesinger Library.
Brad Johnson graduated from Minnesota State University and Officer’s Candidate School. He was an Air Force Lieutenant and later worked at Honeywell. In 1969 Brad left his job at Honeywell to ensure the growth of Johnson Companies. Brad’s accomplishments include: 1989 Lakeville Area Chamber president, 25-year volunteer firefighter, Shriner, Dakota County planning board member, and St. John’s Lutheran Church fellowship committee chair. In 1999, Brad’s career was suddenly cut short by an unfortunate accident and brain injury.
